Next week’s theme is Egypt! Mummies, pyramids, pharoahs…..

The Battle of Hastings

…was today’s theme:

A couple of beautiful maidens…

Twister was the brought over by the Normans…

Medieval fortress, complete with dragon…

Many of the children had gone to the park which is a recurring sub-theme on a Friday!

The Shines Bayeaux Tapestry gets started…

Buildings and Bridges

The theme this Friday was Buildings and Bridges. We had dens and cardboard boxes and loo-roll inners, coupled with coffee and chatting.

 

Books and Writing

The theme for today was Books and Writing. We had a book-swap stall, hieroglyphs and cuneiform, as well as the usual, Lego, craft and trips to the play park. Another crop of new families arrived which was lovely; the more people to support our group means more creativity and opportunities for every member! A big welcome to all the new people who have come along so far this term.

Next week’s theme is Buildings and Bridges, so save up your loo-roll inners and cereal boxes – donations of Sellotape would be welcome! Scale models of the Eiffel Tower and the Golden Gate Bridge here we come…

The theme this Friday is DOGS. Bring in picture of your dog, or your friend’s dog, or your favourite dog and we can have a gallery of our faithful (?!) friends. How many different breeds are there? What jobs do dogs help us do? Sniffer dogs, police dogs, Hounds for Heroes, Guide dogs and Hearing dogs…even if you’re not a dog lover, they are an integral part of our lives.
